National Programs
Rally for the Cure
Rally for the Cure® is a valued program for Komen as it consistently supports each aspect of Komen’s promise. The program provides a platform for groups to raise funds for Komen for the Cure, which has generated more than $45 million since its inception in 1996. The funds raised through the Rally will be important for Komen’s efforts to make sure quality care is available for everyone, everywhere, as well as for support for scientific research.
Bowl for the Cure
Bowl for the Cure® is an initiative organized by the United States Bowling Congress (USBC) through The Bowling Foundation. Since the program’s inception in 2000, Bowl for the Cure® has raised close to $8 million for Komen for the Cure while raising bowlers’ awareness about breast cancer screening, treatment and support. Bowling leagues designate one league session of their choice each season as a Bowl for the Cure® event. February is Bowl for the Cure® month, which is a popular time for USBC leagues across the nation to organize their Bowl for the Cure® events. Bowlers can designate one league night to donate a specific amount, such as a nickel per pin, or stage pledge nights, raffles and auctions. Local bowling associations also are encouraged to team up with Komen Affiliates to conduct a Bowl for the Cure® event for the entire community in their service area. Save Lids to Save Lives
Please save these lids to help our Affiliate earn extra funds form Yoplait. For every pink lid you send in, Yoplait® will donate 10 cents to the breast cancer cause, up to $1.5 million. They guarantee a donation of at least $500,000. This money goes to research and treatment across the country. Yoplait® is a proud National Presenting Sponsor of Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure®. The Affiliate with the most lids collected will be awarded $10,000. Each pink lid can make a difference! You can also set up a collection box at your work or school and help us try to raise the most lids. We can provide you with a box for lid donations or you are welcome to make your own collection box. Ford Warriors
Available here, Ford’s signature line of apparel and accessories dedicated to the fight against breast cancer. Launched in 2003, the Warriors in Pink initiative is designed to complement Ford’s sponsorship of the Race for the Cure. As such, the Warriors in Pink apparel collection features bold symbols that embody the Warrior credo of taking charge, living out loud, harnessing power and standing together. One hundred percent of the net proceeds from the sale of each Warriors in Pink item benefits Komen. Fit for the Cure
Fit for the Cure helps women across the country find their perfect fit with professional bra fittings. Wacoal is proud to celebrate the 11th Anniversary of its Fit for the Cure® program benefiting Susan G. Komen for the Cure. For every woman professionally fitted at these events, Wacoal will donate $2 to Komen for the Cure. Wacoal will also donate $2 for every Wacoal bra or shapewear item or b.tempt’d bra purchased at these events. In addition, Wacoal will offer the “Wacoal Promise”, providing every woman who signs up at a Fit for the Cure® event with a complimentary email reminder to conduct a monthly breast self-exam
