The promise of Susan G. Komen® is to save lives and end breast cancer forever by empowering people, ensuring quality care for all and energizing science to find the cures. Susan G. Komen Central Georgia funds non-duplicative, community-based breast health education and breast cancer screening, diagnostic, and treatment projects for the medically underserved and uninsured individuals in Central Georgia. In addition to funding local outreach projects, Susan G. Komen® runs one of the most innovative, responsive grant programs in breast cancer today. Our Affiliate is proud to have contributed more than $680,000 toward research since 2000.
Applications will be accepted for breast health or breast cancer screening, treatment, education, or support project in Baldwin, Crawford, Houston, Jones, Macon-Bibb, Monroe, Peach, and Twiggs counties starting November 2015 for the fiscal year April 1, 2016 to March 31, 2017. Projects that specifically address the objectives outlined in the “Funding Priorities” in the application will be given priority.
